Year starting serial number 1963 9219 1970 9559 BROWNING SERIALIZATION PRE-1975 SERIALIZATION serialization, firearms may be serialized with either 1968 or 1969 style markings. Don't quote me 100%. Brownings aren't my 12ga of choice. The 3A43 seems to be a catalog number. Several Twelvette's have that. The 913 is mostly serial number. So, yours would be @1953/1954. Plain, Silver of Gold inlays. Fancier the better. @ $500 value at 85% for your vent rib. Rather light shogun.
BROWNING SERIALIZATION 1975 TO CURRENT:
In 1975 Browning began using the two (2) letter code
system (located in the middle of the serial number) for
determining the year of manufacture. For example 'PN'
would be '89' indicating 1989.
